2. Hosting & Technical Operation

2.1 WordPress & Jetpack (Automattic Inc.)

Our website runs on WordPress. The Jetpack service (Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA) is used for image optimisation and CDN delivery. Your IP address and technical browser information may be transmitted to Automattic servers. Transfers to the USA are based on standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 GDPR.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in stable and secure website operation).

3. Order Processing & Shop (WooCommerce)

We use WooCommerce (Automattic Inc.) to operate our online shop. When you place an order, we collect the following data necessary for contract fulfilment:

Name and address
Email address
Payment information (processed by the respective payment provider)
Order history and product selection

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). Order data is retained for the legally required period of 10 years (§ 147 AO German Tax Code).

4. Payment Processing (PayPal)

If you pay via PayPal, your payment data is transmitted to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. BËGO does not have access to your full payment details. Processing by PayPal is governed by their own privacy policy.

5. Web Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse how you use our website. The information generated is generally transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the USA.

We have enabled IP anonymisation, so your IP address is truncated within the EU/EEA before transmission. Transfers to the USA are based on standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 GDPR.

Google Analytics is only activated after your explicit consent via our cookie banner.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect by accessing the cookie settings on our website.

6. Social Media Embeds

6.1 Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.)

We embed content from Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland) on our website. When you visit a page containing an Instagram embed, your browser establishes a direct connection to Meta’s servers. Your IP address and browser information may be transmitted to Meta, even if you do not have an Instagram account.

These embeds are read-only (no tracking pixel). Data is only transmitted to Meta when embedded content loads, after you have given your consent.

6.2 LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company)

We embed content from LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland). Loading this content establishes a connection to LinkedIn servers. These embeds are also read-only.
